Grooming

Part of owning a dog is caring for their fur. Whether you’re looking to control the shedding or have your dog smelling good, this page will provide you with the products I use every week.

FURminator

FURminator is the recommended tool to remove hair from your dog’s coat. It does a remarkable job at removing most of the undercoat in just one or two long strokes. It has about 25,000 reviews on Amazon, which means a lot of pet owners swear by it. Check out the FURminator on Amazon.

Earthbath Oatmeal & Aloe Pet Shampoo

By far the best shampoo I have used for my dogs. Lily had an issue with a couple different brands, so I reached out to me vet for advice. She recommended the brand Earthbath due to its organic, natural ingredients and would be good for dogs with sensitive skin. I have never had an issue with this shampoo and can always find it on Amazon.  Earthbath Oatmeal & Aloe Pet Shampoo

Earthbath Oatmeal & Aloe Pet Conditioner

Similar to the shampoo I recommend, I use the same brand for conditioners. Dogs don’t necessarily need conditioner, but it sure does make their coat shiny.  Earthbath Oatmeal & Aloe Conditioner. Use the following link to get the Earthbath Shampoo and Conditioner Combo.

 My Doggy Place Dog Towel

You don’t need a separate dog for the towel, however my wife would not be happy if I used one of our towels to dry the dogs. So we got dog only towels from Amazon. My Doggy Place Dog Towel is really soft, does a great job and is very absorbent. The towel dries really fast also.

Hertzko Self Cleaning Slicker Brush

I use the Hertzko Self Cleaning Slicker Brush on my little poodle mix to help comb out his mats. This brush does a real decent job and is total worth it. You wont be disappointed.
